| divx3.11 and divx 4.11 - Before you can play the movies you need the correct codecs. A codec is a video compression type that allows me to fit a lot of play time in a small number of Mb with a very high quality playback.The codec I use is Divx (I use 3.11 but many guys use 4.11 now) - When the DivX 4.x install program prompts you whether to playback all 3.x encoded content, you should answer no, and if you have the DivX 3.11 Alpha codec installed, you'll be using it to playback 3.x encoded content instead |

PLEASE IGNORE ALL .EXE FILES !
In my daily updated list with movies you can find sometimes movies in some strange formats (for example movie.xxx , movie.zzz , .movie.ava ...) On pages where these movies are located you can usually read information that you should rename extension to .mpg or .avi . What does it mean ? Its very simple . you need to download movies to your hard drive and rename movie.xxx , movie.zzz or movie.ava (...) to movie.avi or movie.mpg . You can do it with standard Windows Explorer (you can also do it with F2 button).If you dont see any extension you probably need to choose "my computer" >> "tools" >> "folder options" >> uncheck "hide extensions" . You can see (and change) extensions used in files now. |
